The second league event of the WPACC2018 was held in chilly and windy conditions at False Bay Nature Reserve on Sunday 17 June 2018. Luckily for all involved, the predicted rain held off until the final two events of the day though! We must say a huge thank you to our technical officials, announcer, helpers, supporters, and especially the runners for being so hardcore and not being kept away by the weather.
Attendance at this new venue boasted 1198 finishers across all events (in spite of some navigational issues finding the venue), and everyone enjoyed an active father's day at a beautiful venue. Once again, our elite athletes made for some exciting spectating.
Well done to Anthony Timoteus of UWC and Bulelwa Simae of Nedbank WP for winning the senior men's and ladies 10km races in 30:43 and 38:40 respectively!
NOTE that the team competition and incentive challenge run over all 6 league events, but that league prize money and WPA team selection will only be based on Leagues 4, 5 and 6.
Master team calculations including league 2 will be available by League 3.
