There was a possibility that the Voet would have been cancelled but the local municipality (Cape Agulhas Municipality) came to the rescue.
The Voet is definitely on. The date is 3 Oct 09.
All entries (10K, 21.1K & 42.2K) will open on Friday 02 Oct at approx 15h00 to 21h30 and again on Sat morning ±03h00 until ±30 mins before the start of all the races. Entries for the 42k closes Sat at 05h00, the last bus for the 42 also leaves at 05h00.
Also do not forget about the Toontjie, a 4k fun run, on Friday night at 1800.
We want to keep our Voet statistics up to date therefore you have to complete an entry form. You will not receive a race number, only the small race card that is being use at almost all of the races in WP, Boland, etc. Complete this card and hand it back at the finish for us to update and publish the results.
No pre-entries, enteronline entries or entry forms will be available / taken other than those entry forms on Friday 02 Oct and Sat 03 Oct. Entry forms will be available at the Bredasdorp Sportsgrounds on 2-3 Oct.
At the moment the entry fees are the same as in 2008, but there are talks of an increase. In 2008 it was : fun run R10 ; 10k = R20 juniors, R30 seniors ; 21.1k = R40 & 42.2k = R60.
Starting times are 42k = 06h00 on a farm 10kilos outside Bredasdorp. 10k + 21k = 06h45 in front of Bredasdorp Police station. Time for the 10 & 21k will be confirmed.
